Care matters. Gender impact on carers of elderly and dependent people in times of Covid-19.
The aim of the conference is to present the results of the research project "CUMADE. Care matters. Gender impact on carers of the elderly and dependents in times of Covid-19" carried out between June 2020 and June 2021. The aim of the research is to reveal the social dynamics that have had an impact on the care of elderly and dependent people, in order to give visibility to the difficulties that carers have had to face the health crisis, as well as the strategies to face it from the point of view of creativity, empowerment and solidarity. It has been essential for the project to reconstruct the experiences of carers. For this reason, both researchers and people who have contributed their testimony to enable the study to be carried out will participate in the conference. The results of the research are available at the following link: https://www.antropologia.urv.cat/es/investigacion/proyectos/cumade/.
