Notebook: Prevention of Falls in Dementia Patients
Imagen:
This document, in notebook format, offers recommendations to try to prevent falls in people with dementia and at the same time try to create a routine with them.
Starting with some general guidelines for the elimination of architectural barriers and aspects to be taken into account in daily care (transfers, movement, toileting and clothing), the material sets out a series of exercises in three areas of work, of particular importance when it comes to promoting stable walking in people with dementia:
- Cognitive exercises to work on attention.
- Exercises to work on balance
- Exercises to work on strength
