Accompaniment for the study, design and implementation of the new Model of Senior Citizen Centres of the Caja Navarra Foundation.

Matia Instituto collaborates with Fundación Caja Navarra to facilitate the change towards a more participative model of Senior Citizen Centres. To this end, a situational diagnosis of several of its centres is carried out and, in two of them, a participatory process is accompanied in which professionals and elderly people collaborate in the development of the roadmap that will guide their transformation. From the lessons learnt in these actions, a Guide for the implementation of the new Caja Navarra Foundation Senior Citizens' Centres Model has been drawn up, which aims to serve as a support for the generalisation of the Model.

Objetives

The final objective of this project is to facilitate the change towards a more participative centre model in the Caja Navarra Foundation's Senior Citizen Centres, so that they can adapt to the needs of the current and future senior population and the needs of their immediate environment.

Specific objectives:

• To find out about the reality of the senior citizens' centres and how they currently operate.
  • To know the profile of the users, the use they make of the centres, their itineraries, the spaces they frequent and their vision of the future.
  • To find out the perceptions of the professionals of the centres about the needs of the users in the present and in the future, also analysing their professional role in the performance of the new model of centres.
  • To analyse the expectations and needs of other agents involved in the neighbourhood regarding the use of the centres.
• Define the Caja Navarra Foundation's Framework Model for Senior Citizen Centres.
  • To accompany the design and pilot implementation process of a new model in two F. Caja Navarra senior citizens' centres.
  • On the basis of these two pilots and what has been analysed in the rest of the centres, draw up a framework document for the Caja Navarra Foundation's Senior Citizen Centre Model.
• Support the generalisation of the Model in the rest of the centres.
  • To design a guide for the implementation of the new Caja Navarra Foundation Senior Citizens' Centre Model.

Expected results

• Situational diagnosis of 4 of the Caja Navarra Foundation's Senior Citizen Centres.
• Constitution of a promoter group in the Convive Santesteban Centre, which will design and implement its own project for the centre.
• Creation of a promoter group in the Oskia Centre, which will design and implement its own project for the centre.
• Guide for the implementation of the Caja Navarra Foundation's new Model for Senior Citizen Centres.
