Museums and dementia: what challenges?

As part of the commemoration of International Museum Day, under the slogan "The power of museums", the colloquium "celebrates the power of art, science and community to promote intellectual, social and emotional accessibility for people with dementia and their carers".

Our colleague and researcher at Matia Institute, Cristina Buiza, is taking part in this event, sharing the experience gathered in the Dementia in Cultural Mediation (DCUM) project, an Erasmus+ project that has investigated cultural and artistic practices that, through normalisation, incorporate people living with a diagnosis of dementia into their development.
