Seminar: "Experiences and challenges for the care of people with dependency".

Dependency in Uruguay and Latin America, international experiences of services for people in this situation and the quality of care policies are the topics that will be addressed in a seminar to be held tomorrow, Wednesday 24 April, at the Centro Cultural de España.

The seminar will analyse the ageing panorama in Latin America and the demographic dynamics of Uruguay. In addition, experiences of day centres and home support services for people in a situation of dependency will be shared. Quality management models will also be presented and the relationship between human rights, quality of life and person-centred care will be discussed. Finally, financing will be addressed as a challenge for the sustainability of care policies.
