Innovations for living well at home when people have a situation of dependency
This publication, co-edited by the Fundación Pilares and the Fundación Caser, includes a variety of innovative experiences from both within Spain and the exterior, related with the provision of support being proposed as internationally suitable for three reasons:
a) because they provide people who have a situation of dependence and their family caregivers with quality care without compromising principles such as safeguarding their personal autonomy
b) because there is no evidence that the costs of support and comprehensive care coordinated in the community setting are more cost effective than those provided in institutions
c) because the development of these local services have great capacity to generate stable wealth and employment that cannot be relocated.
