"Management of Residential Centres in times of uncertainty: learnings and keys for moving forward".
Spain is one of the developed countries most affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and one of the worst performers in terms of the number of deaths in care homes. Between March and August 2020, at least half of the people who died in Spain with covid-19 or compatible symptomatology died in these centres, which in 2019 were the habitual residence of more than three hundred thousand people.
The devastation that the coronavirus crisis has caused in residential care centres for dependent persons has created a new scenario for reflection and a multidisciplinary approach among the different professionals and social agents involved in this field.
The aim of this course is to generate synergies that will allow us to assess the situation and establish improvements and advances in the management of residential centres.
