The deinstitutionalization strategy for a good life in community is a participatory initiative led by the Ministry of Social Rights and Agenda 2030, which responds to a need to move from a model of care based on institutional care to a model of community and personalized care, where people can choose where to live, what supports they need and how they want to receive them, and do so integrated into their community.

Komunitatean ondo bizitzeko desinstituzionalizazio-estrategia Gizarte Eskubideen Ministerioak eta Agenda 2030ek gidatutako ekimen parte-hartzailea da, eta beharrizan bati erantzuten dio. Horren ondorioz, erakundeetan pertsonen arreta asistentzialean oinarritutako zaintza-eredutik arreta komunitario eta pertsonalizatuko eredu batera igaro behar da, non pertsonek aukera baitezakete non bizi, zer laguntza behar duten eta nola jaso nahi dituzten eta beren komunitatean integratuta egin nahi duten.

La estrategia de desinstitucionalización para una buena vida en comunidad es una iniciativa participativa liderada por el Ministerio de Derechos Sociales y Agenda 2030, que da respuesta a una necesidad, supone pasar del modelo de cuidados basado en la atención asistencial de personas en instituciones a un modelo de atención comunitaria y personalizada, donde las personas pueden elegir donde vivir, qué apoyos necesitan y cómo quieren recibirlos y hacerlo integradas en su comunidad.

After establishing a general "theoretical" framework, the components linked to older people and professionals, the physical environment and organisations will be presented at different tables.

Ethical aspects and the growing trend towards deinstitutionalisation and the promotion of ageing at home, a fundamental pillar of municipal services for the elderly, will also be addressed. Knowing that the experience in the model is greater in the world of centres and especially in residential centres, it is essential to address the model also at home.

Jornadas Técnicas de la Dirección General de Mayores 2023 'Atención Integral Centrada en la Persona: seguimos avanzando'

También se abordarán los aspectos éticos y la tendencia creciente a la desinstitucionalización y el favorecimiento del envejecimiento en casa, pilar fundamental de los servicios municipales para personas mayores. A sabiendas que la experiencia en el modelo es mayor en el mundo de los centros y sobre todo en los residenciales, es imprescindible abordar el modelo también en los domicilios.
